South Bend Heavy 10 Toolroom Lathe Just Arrived!


We just acquired a nice little 10″x 24″ South Bend Heavy 10 Toolroom Lathe last week. It came out of a NASA machine shop and has been well maintained. It was built new in 1968 by South Bend and has hardened bedways, taper attachment, 3 jaw chuck, 5C collet drawtube and steady and follow rests.

These South Bene Heavy 10 toolroom lathes are very popular with gunsmiths and do an exceptional job. Besides what was previously mentioned, it has the 1-3/8″ spindle bore, a micrometer stop, thread dial and tailstock. It is mounted on the South Bend sheet metal stand. The machine is wired for 230Volt 3Phase electrics.
